If you have any old phones hanging around, just collecting dust, there's a way you can activate them to get FREE text, talk and data. No, it isn't that phone that you have to qualify by being low income or on some kind of assistance. Its actually just FREE. You do need to have an actual phone that's unlocked... that you own.

To be sure if you can activate the old phone, just type the phone's IMEI number, click "check my phone" and it'll let you know. I've checked 2 of mine so far and they're both able to get a number and free plan. I'm sure it's not gonna be anything great like our regular lines but a great emergency backup if anything ever happens. I'm sure we all had our phone break and had no use until the new one was delivered or even just being without a phone to go get another one...it sucks. So it's a good idea to always have some kind of emergency backup... multiple, if possible. That's all different lines and numbers for all type old phones that aren't doing anything but sitting in a pile anyway. So why not.

There is ONE catch.... you gotta buy the sim card. But it's only $5. $5 for a PHONE LINE / NUMBER? Sounds reasonable to me.

Just go to text now and start checking those imei numbers.

The only reason I haven't done it yet is because I need to talk to someone there because some of my phone don't even have a sim card tray. No way to put a physical sim card in so I'm not sure how that works in that case.

But some of my phone are that old that they do.

Not everybody is low income or on some kind of government assistance to qualify for those free phones. I been trying to get one. I finally found this.

Edit: just found this video that goes more into depth about it

If you don't have walmart+ - I highly recommend getting it. I'm sick. Been sick a cpl days and really don't wanna go nowhere. I was shopping in bed last night to have bacon, eggnog and some other stuff come right to my this am (9 -11) - I've got something else being delivered by 9 pm at my business - multiple orders, 2 having just 1 item each and I didn't pay any shipping, didn't need to spend a minimum amount and I really wanna make some bacon and eggs but just don't feel good to go anywhere and sef not making that nasty turkey bacon I have. It's so convenient. You get other perks w it like free paramount, gas savings etc. Wheen I first signed up for it a few years ago, I debated, thinning, well I don't really order from there much n how i got amazon n it'd just be another monthly fee that's prob a waste but has actually saved me a lot of money. They do expect a minimum for the same day delivery where someone from the store brings your shit to your door but not for shipping. The only reason I even had to wait til this morning for my delivery is cuz I kept getting sidetracked losing the reserved spots I had for last night but I finally got to finish my order around midnight. Went to bed knowing I'd wake up to my stuff coming early and even had til 545 am to make changes or add stuff if I forgot anything. It's highly worth having this subscription.

If you don't have walmart+
I had a trial of it. I bought from Walmart (without +) recently and noticed they made improvements to tracking (like Amazon's now) and I think they got rid of the tip (made no sense since Amazon doesn't ask for tips). I was thinking about trying Walmart+ instead of Amazon since I think more stuff can be delivered same day. Although, Walmart is like 10 minutes from me so I could just drive there instead lol.

YES. It has improved. Thing w walmart though and why plus is good is sometimes you get really good deals that are online only. Some things won't be available in store and just shipping or delivery or just one. Sometimes something will cost $20 in the store, be $5 if shipped...$1 w delivery. And to not have to be pay fur the shipping or delivery makes a difference.

If you ever spend money in Google play... the perks are really good. While some weeks you might only get a few Google play points... you can get 500...1000 and that's equal to spending $10 or $20.

And then the OFFERS are always cool

I already have W+ but there's always offers like this. I already got a Google play plus and I'm getting another. Free. Hulu. I had Disney. Also, walmart does have other stuff included in the plus that makes it worth it. It also gives the plus members access to the sales like black Friday before everyone else. A couple days ahead. I get walmart cash for some stuff I buy. I just apply it to next orders for less. I love saving money lol

You also get offers just like Google play offers

I had thought about it and whether it'd be worth it or not when I was signing up and for me, it has been

I also find it better for me because I order only what I'm looking for vs going in the store, seeing a bunch of shit I don't need but can't walk away without. I but SO MUCH clothes whenever I go in and I really don't need any. My bar in my closet is leaning down in the middle. I'm scared every time I do laundry and start hanging stuff that is gonna break and it's heavy duty. I swapped out my metal hangers for plastic to to try to lessen the weight. I try to spread stuff out more to the ends but it's still learning down in the middle on both sides of the closet.

I woke up to my phone completely dead. It wouldn't charge. I needed something fast and cheap. I went to the metro pcs by t mobile and didn't $100 getting their cheapest phone - Nokia C210 - Its the WORST phone I have ever used in my life. I don't want Apple and I'm done with Samsung so wanted to try something different. I'm really over samsung. The phones are getting over $1k to break w/in a month. I've spent THOUSANDS in past few years between their note ultras and z flips. Now I've tried Nokia - NEVER getting another Nokia. Just ordered the Moto G Stylus. Hopefully I have better luck w Motorola. Reason I went w this one is because its got UNIQUE features you dont find anymore - SD slot and earphone jack. And what I did love about my Notes/Note Ultras was the stylus so hopefully this is a good phone.

NEVER EVER EVER buy that Nokia - its TRASH.

I bought it. Not leased. I own it. Unlocked. $40. So even if it's not Apple... Samsung...I think it's a steal. Thing is if it'll hold up.

I hate ..HATE the Nokia so much. I am only using its hotspot and doing everything on old phones, even a cracked so bad that I have it scotch taped on part of the screen cuz this new one sucks that bad
