Site Styling Tips

You have some control over the look and feel of the site by changing some of the styling.

Everyone

While logged in or logged out, you can switch between the Default theme and the new Horizon site theme.

When using a computer, the theme selector is at the bottom of the left sidebar.

When using a phone, you’ll first need to reveal the sidebar.

Note: The Horizon theme is still under development and not all of the modifications added to the site work. For example, when browsing photos it only shows the title of the post rather than the thumbnail and title.

Members Only

While logged in, you can change the color pallete, spacing of elements, and font size. All of these settings can be found by going to your profile, then preferences (the gear icon), and then Interface.

I’ve made the Horizon theme the default since it looks better on phones although missing thumbnail views for photo threads (I might work on this rather than waiting). The theme has accent colors you pick from (blue, green, pink, etc) but you have to be logged in and go to your profile, then preferences, and then interface. There is a way to add the selection to the footer of the sidebar but need to figure out how.

You can switch between the original theme (which does show thumbnails in some places) and then new theme from the footer of the sidebar. I renamed the “Default” theme to “Inked” (I couldn’t think of anything better).

Again, the Horizon theme is being worked on by the company who makes the forum software. It’s an unfinished theme although it’s in a good shape so far. But as unfinished theme, there may be some graphic glitches.

I’m still playing with styling and may revert back to the original theme as default since right now there’s more that I can do with it to customize it. Good thing there’s only two of us right now :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I disabled the Horizon theme for now. For some reason it was throwing errors when I was trying to post a new topic (the zombie horror tattoo topic). I tried 3 times and even reloaded the page to try again and same problem.

Edit: Problem seems to be gone, so I’ve re-enabled the theme.
